I'm a senior software engineer with over a decade of experience building products from the ground up.
I've been the first engineer at a startup, a contract hire parachuting into large codebases, and a
long-tenured team member keeping systems stable through years of growth. I'm at my best when I can own problems end to end.
As the first engineer at an InsurTech startup, I built a complete SaaS platform from the ground up, from
database architecture to production deployment. The system now processes over a quarter million submissions
while maintaining strict compliance and data integrity requirements.
I've also scaled high-throughput Rails applications handling hundreds of thousands of requests per hour,
contributing across product, backend, and API layers to ensure reliability and performance under load.
I thrive in fast-growth environments where I can own systems end-to-end. Whether that means joining
a startup as a founding engineer, bringing startup intensity to a larger team, or shipping focused
consulting engagements — I care most about doing work that matters with people who care.
Outside of work, I've spent years in volunteer leadership, leading humanitarian teams in Haiti, Honduras,
Brazil, and Southern Africa. I also coach youth flag football, where I've earned seven league championships, a USA Flag National Championship,
and was named Coach of the Year in 2025. These experiences have shaped how I lead, communicate, and
approach problem-solving with patience and purpose.
